Dr Mustafa Al-Qaysi
Dr Kaliane Silva Fraife
Dr Kaliane graduated from The Medical School of New Iguacu, Brazil, in 2014. She previously worked as a GP in Sydney and South West Rocks (NSW) before moving permanently with her family, to Port Stephens.
“My goal is to offer you everything it takes to stay healthy and independent”
Her areas of special interest are Women’s health, Chronic disease management, paediatrics, aged care, skin care and skin cancer management, geriatrics and mental health.
Dr Kali is committed to helping the community by identifying preventable diseases and early intervention. Her holistic approach ensures both safety to her patients and the best quality of care.
Dr Marat Abdulaev
Dr Marat graduated from Medical University in Russia in 1999. He developed his professional career in the field of Vascular and Cardiac surgery. He has been working in Australia since 2015 and has completed 7 years of additional surgical training in Australia, working in our emergency departments. Dr Marat has decided to dedicate his further professional career to General Practice and practices patient-centred care with a “whole person” approach. His special interests include management of varicose veins and leg ulcers, chronic disease, men’s health, skin cancer surgery and management of all skin conditions.
Dr Mehrnaz Samet
Dr Mehrnaz graduated from Medical School in Iran in 2007. She previously worked in the Upper Hunter Valley before moving permanently to live in Port Stephens. Dr Mehrnaz is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Fellowship Support Program. Her areas of special interest include women’s health, paediatrics, mental health, skin cancer management and chronic disease management.
Dr Marie Shieh
Dr Marie Shieh has over 20 years of experience as a family doctor in the U.S., New Zealand, China and Australia.
Caring for people in a holistic way is what she enjoys most and does best. Her full spectrum of care extends from shared care in obstetrics and the care of babies to palliative care and all that lies in between. Her qualifications include Board Certification in the U.S. and FRACGP in Australia.
Dr Zahraa Alassaf
Dr Zahraa has been a GP with us since we opened our clinic in 2022. Having previous experience working in hospitals in the Hunter New England region, she is currently preparing for a Fellowship with The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Dr Zahraa’s main areas of interest are women’s health, paediatrics, chronic disease management, mental health and pain management. Dr Zahraa is trained in IUD (including Mirena) and Implanon insertion and removal. She is a valued doctor within our clinic.
Dr Ali Dckrama
Dr Ali graduated from Medical College in 2014. He has worked in the Hunter region, including Rutherford and Belmont. He is very interested in skin conditions and skin cancer management/surgery, including simple and more complex procedures. Dr Ali’s other interests include geriatric medicine, paediatrics, chronic health conditions and men’s health. Dr Ali is a dedicated and valued member of our team!

Dr Ali Dckrama is a dedicated and experienced General Practitioner who graduated from Medical College in 2014. Since then, he has provided high-quality, patient-focused care across the Hunter region, including Rutherford, Belmont, and Salamander Bay.Dr Ali has a special interest in skin conditions and skin cancer management, performing both simple and complex surgical procedures to ensure early detection and effective treatment. He is also experienced in Implanon insertion and removal, providing a reliable contraceptive option for women seeking long-term birth control.

Dr Somaya graduated from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2009. She holds a Diploma in Paediatrics and is very interested in all aspects of paediatric care, chronic health conditions, aged care and women’s health. Dr Somaya is dedicated to looking after the needs of our community and is a valued member of our team!

Achievements: Completing my university degree. I have over 16 years of working experience as a Physiotherapist. Over the course of my 16 year career including case management of sports Injury, Post-operative cases management, management of neurological conditions and musculoskeletal cases, in addition to pain management and manual therapy, As I have worked as Senior Specialist of Physiotherapist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Hospital which is one of the biggest hospitals in Kuwait for Rehabilitation and in AL SAFA SPECIALIZED HOSPITAL in Egypt.

Andrew was born and raised on a dairy farm in the Hunter Valley. He attended University at Western Sydney, Richmond – Bachelor of Nursing 2003, Graduate Certificate Diabetes Education and Management (University of Technology Sydney 2013), ADEA Credentialled Diabetes Educator 2013, Master of Nurse Practitioner 2020 (University of Newcastle). He has practiced Diabetes Education and management in regional, rural and remote areas of NSW and the Northern Territory and has presented at International Conferences on Diabetes Technology.

Kym Reid
Practice Manager
With over 37 years of experience in the medical industry, including 20 years in Practice Management, Kym Reid brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to our clinic. She holds a Master’s in Practice Management, a Bachelor of Education (Primary), as well as Certificate IV qualifications in Pharmacy Dispensary and Training & Assessment.
Since managing our clinic from its opening in 2022, Kym has led our team with dedication, support, and a strong patient-first philosophy. She believes that patient health and happiness always come first, ensuring that our practice runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment for all.Born in Shoal Bay, Kym is a proud mother of two adult children. Sarah brings an empathetic and caring approach to her role, ensuring that every patient feels supported and well cared for. With her bright and bubbly personality, she creates a welcoming and reassuring environment for all those she treats.
Jade Schutz

Jade Schutz is a dedicated full-time Registered Nurse with two years of primary healthcare experience. Her background includes Emergency, ICU, and Mental Health, equipping her with a well-rounded skill set to provide exceptional care to her patients.
Beyond her work in the clinic, Jade has a passion for wildlife care and volunteers at the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary, providing medical care to native Australian koalas. With her bright and happy personality and genuine care for her patients, Jade is a valued member of our healthcare team.
